Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- • Manage/Oversee all operations and logistics, maintaining excellent financial discipline.
- • Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizational development.
- • Developing manufacturing and operational strategies, overseeing their implementation to ensure maximum capacity utilization of the manufacturing units towards achieving customer satisfaction and the group’s strategy, growth and profit objectives.
- • Prepare monthly/annual sales, production and revenue targets/budgets, reviewing monthly and reporting to executive management on the Company’s financial performance facilitating corrective measures to maintain the Company’s profitability
- • Design and implement business strategies and evaluate the overall company performance.
- • Responsible for formulating policies, programs, and objectives affecting the schedule, quality, and cost of manufactured products.
- • Oversee planning and implementation of production plans including; receiving sales forecasts, requisition for procurement of raw materials and ensuring cost effective procurement and planning, as regards anticipated demand for raw materials.
- • Identify and adapt technological advances to meet the group’s competitive objectives within the marketplace.
- • Lead the implementation of new manufacturing initiatives, including strategic resource allocation and applying good manufacturing principles, organization structure, leadership, sourcing and integration, production systems and techniques for improved efficiencies and adherence to best practice.
- • Providing strong leadership to all employees, ensuring high morale, teamwork and good employee relations, at all levels, including on the shop floor.
- • Ensuring all divisions are properly staffed and trained to perform duties effectively.
- • Ensure that all employees are given objectives, targets and that their performance is periodically appraised/reviewed to meet organizational performance
- • Direct, coordinate, and supervise employees to ensure that safe work practices are adhered to and production schedules, quality standards, housekeeping standards, maintenance goals and cost goals are met.
Professional Requirements:
- • Possess qualifications as it relates to Engineering and/or Business Management.
- • At least 5 – 10 years in a production and/or operational management position preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- • Strong understanding of business and financial management and leadership practice and principles.
- • Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching and conflict resolution skills.
- • Must possess an understanding of inventory and cost management to include procurement and inventory controls.
- • Understanding of marketing and sales processes including setting price levels is required.
- • Must possess the ability to identify opportunities for growth in current and prospective markets.
- • Demonstrable analytical thinking and business insight, to identify problems and trends and develop effective solutions and strategies.
- • Able to interpret, understand and produce pre- and post-contract administration.
- • Required skill(s): ACAD, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Word.
- • Knowledge of Counter point (our internal point of sale system) would be an asset.
- • Experience and knowledge of construction (domestic & commercial) would be an asset.
- • Possess a CSME certificate; Must be able to travel overseas and possess or qualify for relevant visas
